Most Unnecessary Disclaimer Ever

I mean, was there some sort of rash of incidents of people NOT opening pizza boxes before eating them that prompted this disclaimer?  Was this a serious problem to combat?

Seriously.  I mean, it’s dumb enough that we have warnings on McDonald’s coffee now, but this?  Do we actually have to instruct people to remove pizza from the box before attempting to eat it?

I guess the answer is yes.  Yes, we do.  And that’s why we’re doomed.

  • Thought the Mac D’s hot coffee warning was due to someone who won some big lawsuit after getting burned on spilled coffee (which I’m sure he/she didn’t do on purpose and as dumb as the warning might sound would probably save Mac D from losing money as in “we warned them it’s hot!”)

Sometimes Pizza takes a while to be delivered…. but still, can’t imagine anyone being THAT hungry XD

  • I worked for Domino’s for nearly three years in college, and they’re always a little snarky in their marketing, so I think the disclaimer here is meant to be somewhat satirical.

  • I was going to suggest that since so many liberals have become dependent on the government telling them what to do, how to do it, and when to do it, then this warning label would be appropriate for them.

but, Rachel took the wind out of my sails. :)

  • Well, I have had some pizza where the box would have tasted better than what was inside…..

  • You should read the McDonald’s case… The poor woman who got burned suffered serious burns to her crotchular area… Now I’m sure she wasn’t a rocket surgeon, but it’s probably safe to say that MANY of us have temporarily placed beverages (both hot and cold) in our laps until we could put them in a proper cup holder… Commonsense be damned.

As for eating pizza boxes… Some people could use the extra fiber :p
