Buzz Lightyear Snuggie

Remember when I told you the story about how Mini-Mock wanted a snuggie? And I said no, because Snuggies are dumb?

Well, Mini-Mock’s grandma bought him a Buzz Lightyear snuggie for Christmas. And you guys, I CANNOT STOP USING IT. It’s completely awesome. I use it for Junior Mock because it’s a super easy way to keep his arms covered without putting huge amounts of clothes on him, and it fits over his wheelchair really easily. And I use it for myself, because even though the fabric is super thin, it’s inexplicably really toasty, and I am always cold.

I am officially a snuggie convert.

You know who doesn’t use the snuggie? Mini-Mock, because he’s far too busy and active all the time to want to be confined in a long blanket that you can wear. But he tried it on right when he got it, and looked precious in it:

I’m not nearly as cute in it, but I am REALLY WARM.

So there you have it.  I have product-tested the snuggie, and I am a fan.

I didn’t want one either. Mr. Wiz bought me a Boise State one last year. I basically live in it. We were also required to buy BSU Snuggies for the nephews & niece this year, too. They are addictive, regardless of how much you fight it!

My husband got me a Steelers Snuggie for Christmas. I LOVE it! I too am always cold, and walk around like an old lady with 3 shirts on most of the day! (Much to my husband’s chagrin!)

I have one that someone got me, but I prefer my bathrobe. It’s thicker and warmer and softer.

I borrowed my gf’s Snuggie one night when I slept on the couch with a dog who is normally great, except during thunderstorms (I took the dog w/ me to the couch so the gf could sleep). I started sweating, profusely. I don’t know what kind of fleece they use in those things but, yeah, you can get good and toasty in them! I kinda want one, myself.

If you think the Snuggie is warm, you should try a Slanket. They are like the gold standard of Snuggies. Plus, they don’t fall apart when you wash them, which Snuggies can do…

Mock, I salute you for being brave enough to admit this. And the snuggie-loving Mockers coming out of hiding is GREAT.

I bought my sister-in-law one several years ago, but it wasn’t called a snuggie. I had actually never seen one before and a co-worker showed me a catalog with one. This one had an outside pocket, and it had a fold at the bottom so you could tuck in your feet. I didn’t get one for myself because I’m usually not cold, but it did look pretty fabulous.
